Relationship Gone Wrong
As the Say, When It’s Over, It’s Over
The following is an email I received from one of our readers. I not only commend and salute this individual for her decision, but I am proud of her. I asked if we could share her comments, and she graciously agreed:
Dear John Letter
I think it’s time we broke up. We have had some laughs, and you have brought a smile to my face on countless occasions, but this relationship is just not healthy. I can no longer take part in a relationship that is sucking the life out of me.
I had no idea of your true nature. All this time, while I thought you were bringing me joy, you have been destroying my body. What is worse is that this body of mine was a gift from God Almighty and it was built to house His Holy Spirit and I’ve got things He wants me to do. I have begun to wonder who’s side you are really on, you seem to be working against me in my life’s tasks.
There is a part of me that is sad to let you go. I cannot deny the instant gratification you bring me. I know that you are not going to let go of me easily, and I am okay with that. I know that it will not be easy to forget you because my body has been ravaged by your claws. But I simply must go on without you.
In addition to the above reasons, I have recently learned that I come from a royal line and put simply, you are way below my station. A daughter of the King of Kings has no business hanging out with your kind of riff raff.
So long, TJ
PS: You should be warned that I’ve got Jesus on my side. You’ve already lost.
